Dear, users!

The rules are amazingly simple: the winner is the one who spells correctly English words more than others.

First  round was conducted at Karaganda Regional Universal Scientific Library named after N.V. Gogol on the premises of American Corner on January 21, 2018.

Fifty students presenting Karaganda colleges and universities registered for participating in the contest. They were introduced by the pronouncer Ben Taylor, English Language Fellow in KSTU.

“Spelling Bee” was conducted very interesting and lively and in a healthy spirit of rivalry gave intensity to the competition. The participants – spellers pronounced English words in letters.

  • Jordan Bakke (Fulbright English Teaching Assistant),
  • Novik P.V (English and French teacher in specialized “Murager” school)
  • Alpysbaeva S.R. (teacher from KSTU) evaluated the correct spelling.

Ben Taylor pronounced the words to the microphone. Yana Veitsman (timekeeper) followed the time (spelling must not exceed 2 minutes).

All  the participants showed a very high level of knowledge and it was a hard struggle, but the best spellers were revealed. Our congratulations to the winners:
